The saffron spray is built around the idea of shortening the journey from field to kitchen. Four sisters—Mitra, Anahid, Vida, and Khorshid—and their brother Farrokh, a chef, form the brand’s narrative world. The packaging places the sisters in the saffron fields and Farrokh in his kitchen, visually connecting their two worlds. A story‑driven perforation adds a physical experience: when the box is opened, a running character appears, symbolizing the rapid journey of saffron from soil to plate. This experiential, narrative‑based design helped the product win the London Packaging Creativity Award 2024.

STRATEGY
The saffron spray packaging was developed through an integrated strategy, beginning at the point of sale and extending into the brand’s narrative identity.
First, it focuses on strong shelf impact and differentiation. In a market dominated by simple, static boxes, this design introduces an interactive perforation and a narrative inner layer that increases visibility and engagement. The opening gesture enhances eye-stop and attracts attention in retail environments.
Second, the structure remains simple and production-friendly. Made from folding boxboard (FBB) with clean perforations, it ensures high perceived quality while remaining cost-efficient and suitable for large-scale domestic and export production.
